Singapore Zoo

Singapore Zoo formerly known as the Singapore Zoological Gardens and commonly known locally as the Mandai Zoo, occupies 28 hectares of land on the margins of Upper Seletar Reserve within Singapore’s heavily forested central catchment area.

The Zoo is operated by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, who also manage the neighboring Night Safari and the Jurong Bird Park. There are about 315 species of animal in the zoo, of which some 16% are considered threatened species.

Visit the largest land mammals at ‘Elephants of Asia’ and be amazed with their display of intelligence and gentleness. Stroll into ‘Fragile Forest’, the world’s largest butterfly dome and be greeted by our playful lemurs, swooping fruit bats and inquisitive mousedeer.
Catch orang utans roaming around freely in the world’s first free ranging habitat, or have breakfast with them at the award-winning ‘Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife’. Bring your whole family to the Singapore Zoo and be thrilled by entertaining and educational shows and adventures today.
