The coral collection is generally excellent all year but can be influenced from time to time by weather and sea conditions. As part of the surrounding waters there are designated conservation sites as well as a protected Marine Park (including turtle sanctuary) actively protected by the Malaysian Government.

The Island enjoys daily direct access flights with Berjaya Air to Redang Island Airport from both Kula Lumpur (Subang Terminal) and Singapore (Changi Budget Terminal) Airports.
